About Us

Vision

To create a world where emotional clarity is cultivated like a practice, not treated like a problem—and where sound becomes a path to self-awareness, empowerment, and healing.

Mission

To offer a culturally grounded, sound-based approach to emotional wellness— supporting individuals in building emotional awareness, resilience, and expression through intentional listening and ancient Sikh sound practices.

Values

  • Listening as Empowerment- We hold listening as a courageous and liberating act. By tuning inward with compassion, individuals reclaim agency over their emotional experiences.

  • Sound as a Tool, Not a Treatment- We use sound and voice intentionally—not as therapy, but as a self-led practice to help emotions move, settle, and make themselves known.

  • You Are Already Whole- Our approach affirms that people are not broken or in need of fixing. We offer support—not solutions—so individuals can grow at their own pace, on their own terms.

My Expertise

With a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Applied Research, and current doctoral research in East–West Psychology at CIIS, I’ve spent years studying human behavior, emotional intelligence, and the connection between mind and body. This foundation allows me to bridge traditional psychology with the transformative power of sound to support emotional healing and well-being.

Beyond the Western approach to education, my most profound learning has come through a traditional Guru–Shishya apprenticeship under Yogi Professor Surinder Singh, a master of Naad Yoga. Through this rigorous training in Gurmat Kirtan and sound-based healing, I’ve developed an embodied understanding of how sound cultivates emotional awareness, expression, and resilience—reaching far beyond the scope of conventional psychology.

Welcome to The Listening Mind

I’m delighted you’re here.
My journey weaves the science of the human mind with the timeless art of sound, offering a grounded and transformative approach to emotional healing and self-discovery. As a practitioner, researcher, and teacher, I have spent over 20 years studying the healing properties of sound through Sikh Sacred Music (Gurmat Kirtan), clinical psychology, and innovative teaching methods. My doctoral research in East–West Psychology at CIIS builds on this foundation, exploring how sound supports emotional balance and resilience. This integrative path allows me to help individuals release emotional burdens, cultivate inner strength, and reconnect with themselves and others.

My Approach:
Merging Tradition with Innovation

The Listening Mind is not just a philosophy—it’s a living journey of emotional clarity and self-discovery through sound. My work is rooted in:
